The Bread Bar, founded by Chef Rachi was created to feed people delicious bakes, teas, coffees and more. Chef Rachi’s goal is to bring global delicacies to India, made with locally sourced ingredients and create food that is more than just sustenance, but a part of her customer’s memories and conversations. After all, everything good in life happens over food. Just dough it!

We wanted the cafe to be synonymous with happy memories and good food. The aim was to bring the core message of creating memories over delicious food via visuals, design, illustrations and communication.

The knead to create something special.

the gap

The biggest challenge for the brand was that they weren't able to communicate their offerings well enough. They have a wide-range of food options from breads to bakes to breakfast items and more, all of which can get confusing for customers. Their brand communication didn’t incorporate all their offerings or educate their customers adequately about the variety they offered. Apart from this, TBB is a place where memories are created over good food, which wasn’t clear through the brand’s communication.

our approach

We created an immersive experience and lifestyle around The Bread Bar. Through our communication we created a place where you don't just come to have a bite, but to create memories and chat about your day with your friends, loved ones, family or even your pet. We streamlined the offerings by creating categories ranging from Breads, All Day Breakfasts to Sandwiches and Nibbles. These Categories were mainly to give the customers an understanding of what to expect when they visit The Bread Bar and what all we have to offer, to put the message out that we are not just a bakery but but a cafe too.

While deciding the colour of the brand, we chose Orange to signify warmth and friendliness, the same feeling The Bread Bar exudes. The Bread Bar is a community, and through our illustrations we created just that. We wanted to text to be soft, worldly and bring out the freshness of The Bread Bar, so we decided to go with the font Serif.

The Bread Bar is where friends get together to discuss their lives, loved ones share a meal together, people find solitude, spend a fun day with their pets all along with great food. In order to showcase this we created sets of illustrations where we are brewing, cooking, chilling with our dogs, or just sitting around with the people we love. The illustrations were extended to the cafe and were included in the packaging to synchronize it with the message of creating memories at The Bread Bar because that's what happens when food and people come together.
