As the name suggests, Jolly Games is a fun and jovial box of games created for every person who is a child at heart. The game was launched in 2020, during Covid when people had no way of going out and celebrating. This game was a way to make families and friends come together and connect with each other after having experienced so many ups and downs.
Coming together, celebrating the children within us and the Christmas spirit were three things we felt needed to be amplified during the Covid-19 pandemic. Through Jolly Games, we tried to do just that.
Each box has four games within it, each serving a different purpose and way of having fun. Each game was designed to keep the richness of Christmas in mind and add bits of fun and childish elements.
Naughty or Nice:Inspired by Santa's infamous list of who’s been naughty or nice, this game made players pick Naughty or Nice cards. If a player got a nice card, they got a task to do in order to gain a point. If a player picks a Naughty card, they get a chance to become Nice by picking an ‘And Then’ card to flip the story. This game is a fun and frivolous way to teach children the importance of being nice and having a big heart.
Ask Santa
This is our own version of the Christmas Tarot. The player simply has to ask a question before picking a card from the pile. The picked card has Santa’s mystic answer.
Jangle All The WayThis is a game all about nursery rhymes, but with a twist. There are 2 piles of cards, The Rhyme Card, which has a nursery rhyme on it and The Carol Card which has a barcode that opens an instrumental version of the Christmas carol. Each player picks a card. The task is to sing the nursery rhyme in the tune of the carol. Each player maintains a score sheet, and the player who sings seamlessly without mistakes wins.
Tree-It-YourselfThis game pushes you to create your own tree with cards, ornaments and stickers. This game is about letting your imagination run wild and making the craziest Christmas tree you can imagine.
Christmas is the happiest time of the year and we wanted to take all the jolly elements of Christmas and add a fun twist to them.
